SCOPE OF SERVICES
"As a professional, I have worked closely with Laurent on many personel and legal related matters involving a high level of confidentiality. These have ranged from managing disciplinary actions to preparing for arbitration proceedings to being involved in the City's Strategic Planning process. It is my observation that Laurent has exhibited the highest level of integrity dealing with his colleagues, staff members, the general public and other professionals.
Laurent has shown himself to be dedicated to his work, and willing to extend himself whenever called upon whether to listen, to advise or to give direction. Laurent has strong analytical and communicative skills with intellectual capability to deal with a broad range of issues.
On a personal level, I have found Laurent to be approachabale, helpful and sensitive to the needs and interests of those he is interacting with."

"The participants were wondering when/if you were coming back for more of these [presentations]. I have indicated to everyone that we were hoping we could have a series of them. ...I have never seen this group so switched on.
I think your presentation hit the mark in every way and there’s very little I could add in terms of improvement. You could see how much they enjoyed getting quizzed and testing their knowledge … even showing off their knowledge."
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER - MUNICIPAL ASSOCIATION
"Laurent's work has enabled our organization to consolidate and develop a great synergy within our team. His professionalism and experience have been greatly appreciated."
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - PROVINCIAL NON-PROFIT SECTOR
"Laurent's main strengths are based in his strong and deep knowledge of his work with local government associations and in all the process and mechanisms around local government.
In my view, he has developed his expertise in management skills, organizational culture, policy development, project management and local government issues such as inter-governmental relations both with the central government and with his members. As Laurent is also focused on member services, this is a high strength for our programming as this is one of the components we try to focus on with our international partners.”
CANADIAN PARTNER - INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
"Laurent's governance training was a key contribution to a very successful two day AGM. We had 65 participants including almost all of the mayors and SAOs from Nunavut, and engaged in a rich dialogue around such topics as governance, revitalization and our new business plan."
PRESIDENT - CANADIAN MUNICIPAL ASSOCIATION
“Laurent has been actively involved in supporting our work with the national associations through training seminars, coaching, participating in activities on various issues such as National association organizational structure, management issues, financial issues, membership services, policy development/advocacy and governance. Through his work with SUMA, he has hosted a variety of incoming missions and field trips on local governance. His involvement has been at various program phases in particular during the program development phase and the implementation (for Africa). His insights through his long experience in local governance has provided us with an incredible opportunity to steer our work with the associations and support the development of our support. He is tremendously available to assist and provide observations, work with our partners and this has proven to be valuable in our programming.
He provided us with a sound and solid diagnostic of potential work, challenges and strengths of the association... he amazingly integrated with everyone with easiness.”

He interacts very well with participants and he is very good not only with his animation techniques but also agile in giving the participants some feedback on their performance individually and as a team. Laurent is always willing to learn from the participants. He often says to them: I will learn as much from you as you will from me. He is also good at underlining the important learning points while keeping the class atmosphere light and joyful. He his very good at making sure the participants get positive feedback."
